COMENIUS ASSISTANT TEACHER

During the spring semester 2008 we have had an Comenius Assistant teacher working at our school. We recommend  all other partner schools to apply for one. It has been a great experience for both pupils and teachers. But now it's time for you to meet him.

Hello,

my name is José António Moreira Cardoso, I am 26 years old and I am from Portugal.

I have been working in Laajasalo Primary School (Finland) since the beginning of January 2008 as a Comenius Assistant teacher.

Some of my duties as a Comenius Assistant teacher at Laajasalo School are related with assisting students in learning English and to introduce the Portuguese language and culture to the students.

Since my arrival I have experienced a lot of great adventures and I will never forget Finland and its people. Geographically Finland is very far from Portugal but I must admit that I have never felt homesick here. That’s why I believe that Finland is truly my second home and I will always miss this couple of months that I have spent here. If you decide to go to Portugal you’re all welcome.
