The students from “Virgen de
programme

This is a new project and we are pioneers in Navarra. In the opening meeting the headmaster was accompanied by two members of our Parliament and a person from the Education department who increase students´ awaresnes of ecological problems.
José Ignacio Marín, manager of Ecogras, explains the project to the students.

Through a pilot project of the Ecogras Company, students collect used oil at their homes.
The local company Ecogras with the collaboration of the company NILSA set this new experience going in the school, where every kid will take care of preventing their mums to put used oil into the drains.
The teachers in their classrooms explained to the students the importance of Recycling and they were working on it.
They did a survey looking for a slogan to recognise their bottles. In every class a slogan was chosen.
Some of the slogans are:
El aceite contamina, reciclalo. (Class 6 years)
Reciclamos el aceite. (class 6 years)
Yo guardo aceite, yo reciclo aceite.(Class 7 years)
No tires el eceite, guárdalo. (class 7 years)
No tires el aceite a la naturaleza porque contamina( class 8 years)
Para las plantas cuidar, el aceite debes reciclar. (class 8 years)
Nilsa provides the plastic bottles to the students.

They carry them to their houses and when the bottle is full they bring it back to school.
Before they go to the container they stick a bar code on the top of the bottle.

Then, when they put the bottle into the container, the computer reads the bar code and recognizes the class where the bottle comes from.
The aim to put a code bar on the bottle is to determinate which class is the awarest in recycling oil.
When the tank is full the company takes it off and puts a new one.

First the used oil is taken to a first treatment in a factory and from here to a second one to transform the oil into bio diesel.
